Our club’s first whiskey tasting was a huge success! In total, we had 17 different whiskies to try which was no easy feat. We covered just about every style of whiskey, ranging from stuff that’s easy to find on the shelves to some fairly rare bourbons.
I want to give a huge thanks to Michael for hosting the event and providing some amazing brisket and bread, and to Eric for bringing a nice pasta casserole. Thanks to everyone else who dug into their cellars and brought some whiskey to share.
Based off the success of this tasting, we’ll work on getting another one on the calendar too. Perhaps the next one will be a little more focused on a particular style or region, but having the free-for-all like this was also fun.
This is also a reminder that our monthly March meeting will be on Tuesday March 19th at 6:30pm at Santa Fe Brewing Co HQ Party room.
